Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies in partnership with the CEO that align with the company’s mission and business objectives, focusing on K-12 educators, school administrators, and district leaders.
Oversee brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and materials to enhance brand recognition and reputation.
Lead IBD’s brand strategy to solidify our position as a market leader for English and Spanish Language Arts.
Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to develop and promote thought leadership content that communicates IBD’s expertise and impact to key audiences.
Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to create marketing materials that support new product launches and ongoing sales efforts.
Develop and manage content production for newsletters, social media, email, and our website to ensure impactful, consistent messaging across channels.
Manage and optimize email campaigns, including newsletters and audience engagement follow-up, to maintain a strong connection with our community.
Maintain and update website content and forms to support lead capture and engagement.
Lead the strategy and execution of social media content to increase engagement, expand our online community, and elevate IBD’s digital presence.
Track and analyze marketing performance across all channels, including SEO, ROI, lead generation, and conversion metrics. Adjust strategies based on insights to maximize effectiveness.
Collaborate with IBD’s Sales team to build a lead generation strategy, leveraging HubSpot to track marketing leads and conversions. Ensure marketing efforts are optimized for alignment with sales goals.
Lead a holistic suite of digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies to drive traffic and engagement on the company’s website and digital platforms.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, using insights to inform marketing strategies and product development.
Plan and execute marketing events, conferences, and webinars to promote IBD and engage with educators and stakeholders in the K-12 space.
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives.

Required
Experience rebranding and then launching a Literacy curriculum in the secondary market.
Within the K-12 market, 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role where you helped form and execute on the vision.
Within the K-12 market, proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive engagement and sales.
Strong understanding of K-12 education systems, how public school districts adopt new curriculum, and the unique challenges faced by educators.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and engaging diverse audiences across channels.
Experience in tracking, analyzing, and adjusting marketing performance to maximize impact; familiarity with HubSpot is a huge plus.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO strategies, and utilizing marketing automation software.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
An innate ability to be a creator, a desire to be part of building something new with a growing and dynamic company.
Prior experience on a small team, being both a visionary and individual contributor.
