Responsibilities
Act as the primary internal financial point of contact for assigned sponsor(s) and associated projects.
Load project budgets to financial management systems. Review / reconcile loaded project budgets to ensure accuracy against contracted values.
Load payment schedule to financial management systems. Review / reconcile loaded project payment schedule to ensure accuracy against contracted values and compliance to negotiated contract terms.
Maintain configuration of Project and Contract modules, including assignment of Rate Sets / Plans to Activities and configuration of Contract Lines.
Prepares project level actual versus budget/forecast variance analysis monthly as well as monthly reports for distribution in analyzing monthly results.
Conduct monthly review and analysis of assigned projects, including review of revenue recognition, project performance variances, and WIP/Deferred revenue positions.
Perform project level WIP/Deferred revenue reconciliations as required.
Monitor WIP/Deferred revenue, over the Limit and Contract activation reports and resolve/escalate unusual activity.
Prepare monthly reporting requirements for assigned projects, including unsigned contract opportunities, backlog, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Review and approve various setup, revenue recognition, monthly reporting, etc. for assigned projects of other junior project team members and/or direct reports.
Prepares project level actual versus budget/forecast variance analysis monthly as well as monthly reports for distribution in analyzing monthly results.
Ensure project financial entries are properly documented, reviewed and approved.
Review / monitor rate exception reports and coordinate resolution of rate issues in a timely manner.
Complete and maintain project check-off list throughout the project lifecycle (Activation, Configuration and Close-out).
Prepare and monitor monthly compliance reports, to ensure timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables.
Complete project close-out procedures.
Work with project management to ensure accurate projections taking into consideration changing project timelines, changes in scope and budget to actual comparisons which may require change orders.
Responsible for ensuring that payments do not exceed SOW timelines.
Responsible for ensuring change orders are executed and communicated to appropriate personnel.
Act as a central contact for the project team for designated project communications, correspondence and associated documentation.
With guidance, provide Inputs to clinical study teams, key decision makers, and internal team members to manage continuous process improvements, issue escalation, workload projections.
Participate in (study) team meetings/Project kick off meetings and interaction with cross functional staff to verify information and/or triage new data issues or prior identified action items.
Perform Subject Level Data Review that require further investigation with the clinical site to determine overall accuracy. Review any other information as necessary to determine overall readiness of the patient information for next level review.
Early identification of site-level risk/issue(s) occurring during study conduct and responsible for identification of risk pertaining to payments.
Reviews executed and proposed Contracts, Letter Agreements, Work Orders, Change Orders and other contract information as assigned. Approves pending Change Orders for assigned projects.
Provides inputs to cross functional team in managing project deliverables.
Collaborate with company clients and stakeholders.
Maintain good relations with customers and client sponsors.
Train and mentor junior project analyst staff.

Required
5+ years of related experience with CRO in similar position in revenue management, AR, accounting, investigator payments.
Educational background in Accounting or Finance (degree, certification, etc.).
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve situations in a timely manner.
Must possess strong client services and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Workday ERP is preferred.
CRO experience is preferred.
