Responsibilities
Provide architectural oversight for complex deployment including capacity planning, appliance placement, segmentation, and functional separation.
Conceptualize and develop a platform architecture to meet the business needs.
Work closely with the Security team and internal design meetings.
Create and present solution architectures to internal groups.
Assist in troubleshooting deployment problems when deep expertise is required.
Effectively deliver presentations to internal customers and senior management.
Contribute to the development of best practices and training material.
Design and implement network security solutions using Palo Alto and Fortinet technology.
Troubleshoot network security issues and provide timely resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security compliance.
Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in network security.

Required
8+ years of experience in Architecture or Network Security engineering.
5+ years of experience in designing and deploying technical solutions in a large-scale complex environment.
5+ years of experience in network security architecture.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet products.
Strong understanding of Routing, Switching, 802.1X, 802.1Q VLAN, VPN, LAN, WAN, RADIUS, and Network Security.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
Preferred
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Certification is strongly preferred.
Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) Certification is strongly preferred.
Experience with a NAC (Aruba Clearpass, Cisco ISE, and ForeScout) environment is strongly desired.
Experience installing, managing, and supporting production network and computer security systems comprised of multiple network hardware and software.
Security and Network certification such as CISSP, SSCP, GIAC, or CCIE is a plus.
Healthcare provider industry experience is preferred.
