Responsibilities
Take ownership and accountability for the efficient and effective delivery of the managed services workstream, including client communications, escalations, and quarterly reviews.
Identify opportunities for streamlined delivery improvements and service excellence in line with the Statement of Work.
Take ownership for the time commitment required to collect, verify, and analyze data from various sources within the client's organization to support thorough and precise license management.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the client's organization to gather comprehensive and accurate data, ensuring all necessary information is accounted for.
Ensure clear and proactive communication by providing complete and accurate information in all interactions with clients.
Review and analyze client IBM license agreements, pricing, deployments, consumption, contracts, and amendments.
Perform software deployment versus licensing entitlement reconciliations for our clients to identify over and under-licensing by Product. Perform gap analysis of licenses owned vs. current usage and report trending.
Provide licensing guidance and best practices. Demonstrate independent problem-solving capabilities, in unfamiliar scenarios.
Identify opportunities for the client to optimize license consumption and maximize the value in their IBM software investment, while providing strategic mitigation strategies for remediation.
Assist the client with license agreement renewals, contract negotiations and procurement decision making.
Demonstrate strong task prioritization skills. Proactively manage client expectations to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of services.

Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Subject Matter Expert in IBM licensing with 6+ years of experience and a strong understanding of IBM’s product stack, product licensing, ELA/ESSO/ULA agreements, discovery & data collection methodologies, and license management best practices.
Familiar with IBM Cloud Paks bundles and ILS (IBM License Services).
Experienced in creating and presenting Effective License Positions (ELPs) with understanding of IBM contract terms, amendments, and negotiations.
Experienced using SAM tools for IBM license reconciliation (such as BigFix, ILMT, ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, USU, etc.) as well as the ability to manually collect and reconcile data if needed.
Experienced at communicating effectively with external stakeholders at all levels, including negotiating with vendors and presenting findings to management and clients.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 10% a year.
Preferred
Familiarity with Software Asset Management (SAM) & IT Asset Management (ITAM) standards or frameworks (e.g. ISO 19770-X).
Familiarity with various IT management/governance frameworks such as ITIL, MOF, COBIT, etc.
Any of the following certifications are highly regarded: CISA; CISM; CISSP; CIA; CPA; CFE; CCNA; CCNP; ITILv3; MCP; MCSE; CITAM; PMP; CSAM, VCP.
