Responsibilities
Provide guidance on the design, architecture and implementation of security best practices to ensure the organization reaches its security initiatives.
Develop, maintain and enforce security standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Proactively research the latest threats and trends, develop threat models, and implement preventative strategies to safeguard against emerging risks.
Respond to security incidents with urgency, performing thorough analysis and implementing remediation strategies to reduce risk.
Automate security procedures to increase efficiency, reduce response times, and enhance security coverage.
Collaborate with various teams to align security measures with business needs, fostering secure and efficient operations.
Partner with development teams to integrate security best practices into every stage of the SDLC, strengthening the protection of our applications.
Conduct regular testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure their effectiveness and readiness for incident response.
Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of security events, projects, and vulnerabilities to maintain visibility and inform strategy.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
5+ years of experience in cloud security, security policy development.
Direct experience with DevSecOps & CI/CD security practices.
Direct experience in security engineering projects and tasks, including deploying and managing solutions in diverse environments.
Direct experience with network protocols, firewall management, vulnerability assessment tools, and industry-standard frameworks.
Direct experience with information security concepts, common attack types, mitigation techniques, and ability to make risk-based decisions.
Direct experience with SIEM tools.
Direct experience with automation technologies (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Working knowledge of security frameworks and best practices (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
Working knowledge of web applications and security stacks (e.g., API security).
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage complex tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
