Responsibilities

User Research: Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences through methods such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
User Personas: Create user personas and user journeys to guide design decisions and ensure a user-centric approach.
Information Architecture: Develop information architecture and sitemaps to organize and structure content and features effectively.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and test ideas with users.
UI Design: Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, including layouts, color schemes, typography, and iconography.
Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and refine designs, making improvements based on user insights.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Design Guidelines: Establish and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and design systems to maintain consistency across products.
Accessibility: Ensure that designs are accessible to users with disabilities and comply with relevant accessibility standards and guidelines.
Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.

Required

5+ years of experience working as a UX/UI designer on behalf of digital brands, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
Design experience in an agency-style setting.
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in UX design tools including Adobe XD and Figma.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

Experience working in e-commerce with Shopify website.
Ideally you will have experience with custom Shopify sites, 3rd party integrations, as well as custom web apps.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic front-end development.
Familiarity with user testing and research methodologies.
Experience with responsive and mobile design.
