Responsibilities

You will complete specialized training to gain complete understanding of the financial aid cycle, federal regulations and all aspects of internal and external compliance.
You will review student files before awarding to complete any federal or institutional verification, C-Flag requirements.
You will evaluate student files for eligibility of federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs.
You will package federal aid within standard and borrower based academic years.
You will review documentation surrounding unusual circumstances and exercise your judgment, by making adjustments or revisions to costs, need, or dependency status.
You will identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect student information and resolve through communication with the Finance Counselors.
You will troubleshoot processing problems and technical issues with regard to the system and Banner software, and consult with the appropriate resources.
You may have other responsibilities as assigned.

Financial Aid ProcessingEllucian - BannerFederal Regulations

Required

A Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience or HSD/GED and 3+ years of experience in processing or financial aid environment
Experience in Ellucian - Banner
Oral and written communication skills
Employment is dependent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System, which requires all federal student loans to be in good standing and not in default and a credit check to review that student loans are not in default.
