Responsibilities

Responsible for all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing and revenue recognition

Produces the monthly, quarterly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with GAAP principles; highlight significant Actual vs. Budget variances

Develops and maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; recommends changes and implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk

Works with external auditors and tax firm and provides needed information for the annual audit

Oversees employee expense reimbursements, commission tracking and recommends/implements process efficiencies

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

Provides updates to benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance

Helps develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
