Electrical Engineer
Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on various sectors including buildings. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for assessing existing facilities and developing electrical designs for various building projects, coordinating with other disciplines, and assisting project managers.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Assessing existing facilities and developing electrical designs in support of various Buildings projects
Investigating, planning, design, and commissioning of existing facilities components and systems
Facility electrical, lighting, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems
Coordination with other support disciplines and coordination with regional offices
Assisting project managers in the management of projects
Following quality assurance and quality control plans
Travel to project locations will be required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university of college
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
5 to 15 years of building design and construction industry experience
Proven experience overseeing electrical designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects
Technically competent in building electrical systems including power distribution systems, lighting systems, and telecommunications systems
Experience with Autodesk Revit
Must have strong communication skills
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred
Worked as an engineer sub-consultant to architectural building design firms
