Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.

Provide architectural guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with business and technical goals.

Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to define and implement cloud solutions.

Select appropriate AWS services based on compute, storage, database, and security requirements.

Lead and participate in technical discussions to ensure best practices and solution performance.

Educate teams on architectural principles, cloud technologies, and best practices across different technical levels.

Ensure that cloud infrastructure aligns with organizational security standards (TIERS).

Identify and gather requirements to define cloud solutions and assess the current infrastructure to recommend modifications as necessary.

Lead and participate in design discussions to promote new technologies and practices.

Oversee the management of AWS storage and backup solutions.

Provide guidance on ITIL ticketing processes using Remedy and ServiceNow.

Contribute to the management of Archer GRC and other governance tools.

Required

Expertise in operating systems such as Red Hat Linux and Windows.

Experience designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.

Experience providing architectural guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to implement cloud solutions.

Experience selecting appropriate AWS services based on project needs (compute, storage, database, security).

Hands-on experience designing distributed systems and applications on the AWS Cloud.

Experience gathering requirements to define cloud infrastructure solutions.

Experience assessing and recommending modifications to existing infrastructure.

Experience educating teams on architectural principles and best practices.

Experience ensuring solutions meet organizational security standards.

Experience leading technical and design discussions.

Working knowledge with AWS storage and backup solutions.

Experience with ITIL ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.

Experience managing Archer GRC.

Preferred

Knowledge in networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP, and other standard networking protocols.

General knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL.

Knowledge in identity and access management and other cybersecurity principles.

Experience staying current with new cloud computing developments and improving cloud infrastructure.

Experience with AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
