Responsibilities
Manage communications between clients and the firm to ensure engagement objectives are met by all parties.
Provide guidance and expertise to ensure that engagement risks are identified, and appropriate responses (including specific audit steps) are taken.
Facilitate timely resolutions to complex Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 31 issues.
Perform FAR audits and ensure client deliverables are provided in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate with the Managing Director and clients by providing timely status updates.
Attend, engage, and network at national and regional conferences.
Be a “key impact player” to multiple clients.
Mentor and develop associates by providing timely guidance, reviews and providing feedback on associates’ performance.

Required
5+ years’ experience in public accounting
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 31 (Contract Cost Principles and Procedures) and the AASHTO Audit Guide
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead and develop staff
External audit experience
Preferred
CPA or EA is strongly preferred
Experience working with State Departments of Transportation is strongly preferred
Experience within Finance/Accounting departments at Engineering or Architecture Firms or a Federal Agency (such as the DCAA or GSA) is strongly preferred
