Responsibilities

Develop our next version of Instacart Design System’s Android components

Provide elegant, simple solutions that help engineers create great experiences at high velocity

Collaborate with engineering peers to design elegant and consistent component APIs

Focus on the details of developer experience to make using the Instacart Design System absolutely frictionless

Engage with designers daily to co-create the best possible components and patterns

Support Instacart's Android engineering team with best-in-class documentation/support

Required

5+ years of experience in Android app UI development

Practical knowledge and experience using Jetpack Compose

Effective in developing native mobile applications with accessibility in mind

Strong communication and written skills

Solid understanding of fundamental design principles and high attention to detail in UI implementation

An exceptionally collaborative approach towards working with design and engineering teams

Preferred

Background in writing developer-oriented documentation

Experience working directly on a design system team
