Responsibilities

Study, research, and understand the expansion of the analytics development lifecycle, with specific focus on user requirements, market potential, and competitive landscape.

Define the vision, goals, and strategy behind product initiatives.

Execute cross-functionally, in a collaborative manner, to launch new products, improve existing features, test effectiveness of workflows, and facilitate marketing and sales motions.

Inspire teams of people to achieve great things together, while also tying the roadmap within a domain to broader product strategy goals and company goals.

Create tight feedback loops with our customers and prospects, bringing back synthesized requirements that our team builds in service of these stakeholders.

Required

10+ years of experience in product management.

An understanding of the personas involved in the work to empower data practitioners to create and disseminate organizational knowledge.

Lived experience building software with successful market adoption, at scale.

The ability to work in a hands-on manner to lead, motivate, and organize teams developing software.

A desire to roll-up your sleeves, connect with customers, build quickly, and refine product offerings.

Built highly-scrutinized business plans and market analyses for executive stakeholder audiences.

Preferred

Previous experience working with dbt for analytics engineering and/or building data tools and products for data analysts.

Worked with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Spark, Presto, etc).

Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team.

A comfort with discussing, explaining, and reasoning about the intersection of dbt DAG development and the broader analytics development lifecycle.
