Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Linux-based systems on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security
Configure and optimize Linux-based services and applications for Azure environments, including networking, storage, and security configurations
Develop automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
Document monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and availability of Linux systems on Azure
Work team of SMEs to develop architecture and design drawings for migration effort
Assist other SMEs in the preparation of Installation guides for an enterprise environment
Provide input into migration project schedule

Required

Must possess current IAT II or higher security certification in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have or be able to get within 6 months of hire, an appropriate Computing Environment or vendor certification for associated communications equipment being supported in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M
Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Progressive IT experience (8 years) including at least five (5) projects in technical areas included in the job description
Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing Linux-based systems, preferably in cloud environments
Strong expertise in Linux administration, including proficiency with command-line tools, shell scripting, and system configuration
Experience with Azure Virtual Machines
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
Knowledge of DISA STIGs
Experience creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and how-to guides
Preferred
Experience working with Navy customers preferred
Relevant certifications in Linux (e.g., LPIC, RHCE) are a plus
