Responsibilities
Assist the QA team in the implementation of processes and standards.
Create QA testing artifacts and lead defect triage, test strategy and test summary meetings.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality manual and automated UI and API test scripts for web applications.
Develop and manage software test plans, and traceability. Develop and organize end to end manual test cases and convert them into automated scripts to ensure smooth and rapid release cycles.
Investigate automated and manual test failures to ensure application correctness, update automated UI/ API test scripts as needed.
Replicate Production defects in the lower environments, log defects in Jira for resolution. Provide issue walkthroughs to the developers or software engineers.
Collaborate with DevOps team in to set up quality gates and execute automated tests in the delivery pipeline.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily scrums, spring planning, sprint reviews and sprint demos. Perform in-sprint manual and automation testing.
Create and report test results/ metric summary reports to the QA Director and other project stakeholders. Review results and report problems and anomalies.
Monitor test execution across all work tracks and develop and monitor QA Metrics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business, Developers, DBAs) to understand/analyze business requirements, translating them into test scripts.
Create and maintain comprehensive QA process and methodology documentation in Confluence
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, share knowledge, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Develop and maintain positive, respectful, and productive relationships with individuals inside and outside UATP.

Required
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
7+ years’ experience in software quality testing practices, manual and automation, data quality testing with solid, demonstrable understanding of STLC.
6 years of experience as an Expert in QA platforms, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, Maven).
7+ years of experience with Jira, QMetry, Jira Xray testing management, metrics creation and reporting.
5+ years of leadership experience, coach/mentor agile delivery teams on quality principles.
5+ years of hands-on experience in developing automation frameworks in Java/Python or other languages.
4+ years of experience writing SQL scripts.
Expertise with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Xray, Confluence, Git).
Experience designing and implementing solution architectures for QA, including cloud-based, microservices, and API testing solutions.
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Groovy) for Jenkins.
Experience developing API tests using Postman/Karate framework.
Experience developing, maintaining & executing automated tests for web and backend applications.
Experience of working cloud technologies like AWS and experience of testing micro-services, containers, and docker.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present testing progress.
Able and willing to work in a home-based environment with minimal supervision.
Reside in the United States.
Eligibility to work in the United States and provide proper documentation of eligibility. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
Experience with testing payment applications, including PCI, preferred.
Azure Dev Ops for Test Management, Defect Management, Automation repositories tracking.
