Responsibilities

Maintain accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

Entering cash receipts/ recording revenue

Billing and monitoring of Accounts Receivable aging

Entering expenditures, bill payment with the motoring of Accounts Payable aging

Grant management to include proper allocations of income and expenses

Month end reporting including account reconciliations

Processing of payroll and payroll changes

Assist with monthly preparation of financial reports

Assisting with budget preparations.

Assisting with annual audit schedules and other compliance reports

Year-end reporting to include 1099 processing and proper cut off for AP and AR transactions.

Forming and maintaining relationship with clients

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2-3 plus years of accounting experience is required

Detail oriented, taking pride in the accuracy of work performed

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently and remotely

Must have ideal working conditions to work remotely from home. Internet connection and a quiet space.

Preferred

Experience working with QuickBooks Online is preferred

Experience working with Sage Intacct is an added bonus

Experience in working with not-for-profit organizations or familiarity with non-profits and how they operate and differ from other businesses
