Responsibilities
Support the CPO on special projects and coordinate horizontal alignment of the P&C functions across the Mercy Ships organization.
Provide direct strategic oversight for P&C programs including, but not limited to, systems, reporting, analytics, travel, and ship-based P&C
Design and help implement large-scale programs to build collaboration, drive effectiveness, and improve workforce performance and capabilities. Influence, support, and facilitate to ensure realization of intended benefits of change.
Ensure field operations are aligned with the organization’s core values, mission, vision, and latest strategic priorities.
Lead capacity building for ship-based P&C functions through development, retention, coaching, performance management, and managerial activities.
Support the digitization of P&C functions and processes. Ensure P&C systems meet organizational needs and provide an ideal user experience.
Identify opportunities to create cross-group collaboration and synergies.
Partner with P&C leaders to develop key processes, procedures, and communication plans that facilitate attainment of organizational goals.

Required
Knowledge and experience of broad-based Human Resources best practices related to systems, process documentation, project management, analytics, employee relations, business partnership, policy management, employee engagement, and/or performance management functions.
High level of computer literacy, including Power Point, Word & Excel, and process documentation software.
Skilled ability to obtain, understand and respond strategically to client needs.
Highly detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution-skills.
Energetic, motivated, service-oriented, and able to multi-task.
Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting client commitments.
Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of communication.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Able to deploy effective change management behaviors.
Self-motivated team player and detail oriented.

Understand and apply servant leadership, work collaboratively with integrity and demonstrate accountability.
At least 10 years’ combined experience in a variety of Human Resources functions (project management, employee relations, business partnership, policy management, employee engagement, and/or performance management functions).
At least 5 years’ experience designing, implementing, and improving Human Resources systems, policies, and processes.
At least 5 years’ management experience.
Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
Experience working in a cross-cultural, global environment.
SHRM, HRCI or Global HR Certification.
Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
Preferred
Previous experience with Mercy Ships in a ship-based role.
