Responsibilities
Network Migration: Oversee and implement the IPv6 migration strategy across multiple sites, transitioning VLANs to IPv6 in Field and Regional Offices.
Switch Provisioning: Manage switch configuration, coordinate cutover logistics, and ensure smooth transition with minimal disruption to users.
Network Monitoring: Set up and maintain network monitoring protocols for newly deployed or replaced equipment to ensure continuous functionality.
SD-WAN Support: Provide ongoing support and operation of Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) across multiple sites.
Network Configuration: Administer router and switch configurations, ensure LAN/WAN integrity, and manage routing protocols.
Traffic and Bandwidth Management: Monitor bandwidth utilization, identify trends, and troubleshoot traffic issues on LAN/WAN interfaces.
Network Automation: Utilize orchestration tools to automate configurations, deployment, and operational tasks within the network.
Documentation and SOPs: Generate and update network documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Performance Analysis and Issue Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, escalate issues to vendors if necessary, and provide robust solutions to complex network problems.
Technical Direction and Support: Act as a technical lead on projects, provide guidance to junior team members, and interface with government entities for escalation and reporting.
Application Lifecycle Management: Oversee application build, test, deployment, and operational monitoring, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant network administration experience, OR
Master’s degree with 8 years of experience, OR
No degree with a minimum of 17 years of total work experience.
Hands-on experience with IPv6 implementation and migration.
Extensive experience in supporting SD-WAN infrastructure.
Proficient in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and Static routes configuration.
Ability to design and troubleshoot complex network issues and develop effective solutions.
Skilled in using orchestration tools for automated network configuration and management.
Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) or VMware VeloCloud for SD-WAN management.
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime) and ServiceNow for incident management.
Strong command of Google Suite, Active Directory, Slack, and other collaborative tools.
Preferred
CCNP or CCNA preferred.
ITILv4 Foundation: Training or certification (can be obtained within 120 days post-hire).
Familiarity with network technologies such as NetScaler, Active Directory, and Network Monitoring Systems.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate autonomously and interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including possible holiday shifts as scheduled.
