Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive, data-driven communication strategies that effectively communicate Microsoft’s initiatives in technology, policy, and global responsibility. Align communication plans with business goals, working closely with senior leadership to ensure the messaging resonates with intended audiences and reflects Microsoft’s values.
Create and manage a range of communications materials, including press releases, digital media, executive messages, social content, and newsletters. Craft compelling, audience-specific messaging that is visually and stylistically consistent with Microsoft’s brand and voice.
Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, policy teams, and partner organizations. Work closely with stakeholders to align on communication objectives, gather insights, and ensure messaging supports organizational priorities.
Oversee the planning, development, and launch of high-impact communications campaigns. Set timelines, manage resources, and monitor progress to ensure campaigns are executed efficiently and aligned with Microsoft’s business strategy. Coordinate with creative teams, external partners, and cross-functional groups to drive successful outcomes.
Serve as a guardian of Microsoft’s brand identity, upholding standards of excellence and consistency in every communication. Leverage brand insights to inform content development and drive affinity for Microsoft’s mission, products, and values.
Engage with online communities across various platforms, building relationships with audience segments and promoting relevant content. Manage social media channels to increase audience engagement, drive awareness, and foster community conversations that reflect Microsoft’s priorities.
Regularly assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives through detailed metrics and analytics. Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve strategies, ensure alignment with business objectives, and demonstrate the ROI of communication efforts.

Required
Minimum 5 years in relevant roles; prior Microsoft experience required
Minimum 5 years of experience developing and executing communication strategies that effectively support business objectives, brand initiatives, and audience engagement.
Minimum 5 years of experience crafting high-quality, audience-focused content across digital, social, and print channels.
Minimum 5 years managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders.
Preferred
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale communication campaigns from strategy to delivery.
Strong proficiency in managing social media channels and analytics tools to measure engagement and refine social strategies for audience growth.
Deep understanding of brand positioning, audience targeting, and emerging trends in digital and social media.
Proficiency in Teams, SharePoint, Excel, OneNote, and other Microsoft tools for seamless project tracking, collaboration, and reporting.
