Mechanical Engineer - EI
Garver is an employee-owned engineering, planning, and environmental services firm focused on various sectors including buildings. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop mechanical designs for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, while coordinating with project managers and ensuring quality control.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Developing mechanical designs in support of various Buildings projects
Planning, design, and commissioning of building HVAC system(s)
Planning, design, and commissioning of building plumbing system(s)
Planning, design, and commissioning of building fire protection system(s)
Building whole building energy modeling
Building sustainability requirements reporting
Coordination with other support disciplines and regional offices
Assisting project managers in management of projects
Following quality assurance and quality control plans
Periodic travel to project sites
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of building design and construction industry experience
Must have a knowledge base of mechanical engineering principals related to building mechanical designs
Must have strong communication skills
Experience with Autodesk Revit
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
Preferred
Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD
Experience with Carrier HAP or similar HVAC load analysis program
Experience with AIA MasterSpec
