Senior IT Auditor & Analyst

Responsibilities
Verify, follow-up, and upload daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports and mentor through the audit workflow to ensure evidence has been captured, reviewed and documented in a timely manner to meet internal controls and compliance.
Work with Internal Audit SOX team and IT Process owners in the review and updates of narratives as well as determine if new controls are needed and/or no longer applicable.
Generate and perform initial reviews for semi-annual audits on SOX related applications, which includes creating the documentation or request, formatting, coordinating corrections and getting appropriate sign offs.
Manage IT internal and external SOX audit requests for APEI and its subsidiaries, including coordinating process walk throughs, meetings, communications, reviewing and providing feedback on documentation received, generating documentation, researching tickets and logs, updating and configuration of the SOX SharePoint site, and delivering evidence to auditors.
Work with IT Management on Annual IT Risk Assessment
Assist IT Audit and security teams to identify and analyze security requirements to align with PCI compliance and SOX standards.
Perform internal service audits ensuring that services to end users are properly provisioned, maintained and de-provisioned according to policy.
Perform service audits, including provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts, permissions and verifying standards are adhered to within active directory.
Participate in the change management process, IT Committees and provide guidance on SOX related applications and tools.
Assist with Cybersecurity programs and projects
Review and assessing new and existing applications and systems to ensure compliance with policies, plans and procedures which could have a significant impact on operations and compliance
Onboarding training for IT groups around general audit processes and controls
Manage and develop internal audit robotic process automation (RPA) projects
Provide guidance and assist with new and updated SOX related systems including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) reporting and alerts
Provide guidance and assist with SDLC processes, approvals and reporting
Other duties as assigned.

Required
Associate’s or B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years work experience in Information Technology operations
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Microsoft environment, including Office, SharePoint, Project, Visio, Active Directory and SDLC applications and processes
Knowledge of SOX, COBIT and PCI regulations
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to drive process improvement
Ability to work independently and/or with other team members.
Willingness and ability to learn new skills
Ability to interact with APEI and it's subsidiaries' staff in a positive and professional manner.
Acquiring and maintaining job and professional knowledge: staying abreast of the latest technology and knowledge, best practices and other developments in the employee’s area of competence.
Ability to understand and implement policies and procedures.
Ability to solve problems in an ever-changing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, understanding finance and technology terminology.
Advanced skills with MS Office Suite.
