Responsibilities
Travel to schools within an hour commute of Waltham, Massachusetts or Lawrence, MA to teach up to five 45- to 60-minute classroom-based workshops per day, multiple days a week. Must have driver’s license and the use of a reliable vehicle.
Coordinate with the Museum’s Materials Preparation Manager to keep a set of workshop kits with both permanent and consumable materials stocked and well-maintained locally.
Maintain regular weekly communication with the School Programs Team regarding monthly schedules, material needs, general program feedback, and specific school interactions.
Collaborate remotely with other TSW instructors and our School Programs Administration Team to maintain a strong learning community that promotes effective science inquiry practice and provides outstanding enrichment for schools and groups.

Required
Experience teaching children in formal or informal settings
Friendly, flexible, dynamic, and passionate about supporting children’s learning
Strong communicators who are highly organized
Ability to juggle multiple demands at one time
Must have driver’s license and the use of a reliable vehicle
Preferred
Background working with diverse constituencies
Ability to speak multiple languages
