Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including supply chain, distribution, and licensing contracts specific to the Foods & Consumer Goods industry.

Provide guidance on regulatory compliance with FDA, FTC, USDA, and other relevant regulations.

Assess and manage risks in commercial transactions to ensure alignment with industry standards and business objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams (compliance, procurement, operations) to streamline contract processes.

Counsel on intellectual property and marketing compliance matters as they relate to consumer goods.

Address pre-litigation disputes and respond to regulatory inquiries as necessary.

Required

Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.

5+ years of experience in commercial law, including at least 3 years in the Foods & Consumer Goods industry.

Strong understanding of regulatory matters and compliance within the Foods & Consumer Goods sector.

Exceptional skills in negotiation, drafting, and risk assessment.

Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote work environment.

Preferred

In-depth knowledge of FDA, FTC, USDA, and other relevant guidelines.

Background in intellectual property law as it applies to consumer goods.

Strong collaboration skills to work across departments and time zones.
