Responsibilities
Establish and manage Salesforce test and production environment strategies across multiple orgs/streams, ensuring teams have the necessary environments available and that they are refreshed according to a defined schedule.
Define and manage the release scope, schedules, and quality. Collaborate with project management and development teams to coordinate product deployments, addressing conflicts and dependencies between projects.
Assess the impact of Salesforce updates, releases, and patches on configuration and custom code. Collaborate with system administrators and development teams to resolve any issues that arise.
Clearly communicate the impact of Salesforce releases, custom deployments, environment refreshes, release schedules, and statuses to relevant stakeholders. Escalate issues and risks as necessary.
Build and maintain a comprehensive repository for release procedures, logs, and artifacts to ensure smooth execution and traceability of releases.
Manage the change control process, including production backups, sandbox refreshes, and the continuous improvement of release management practices.
Implement and enforce best practices for the release lifecycle, including version control, branching, and code merges, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Oversee the packaging and deployment of custom configurations and code to various Salesforce environments.
Leverage Salesforce release management tools (e.g., Copado, Flosum) to streamline the release process. Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they become proficient in using these tools.

Required
Experience as a Salesforce Administrator
Experience with release management processes across multiple Salesforce orgs and streams
Ability to establish and manage Salesforce test and production environment strategies
Experience in defining and managing release scope, schedules, and quality
Ability to collaborate with project management and development teams
Experience assessing the impact of Salesforce updates, releases, and patches
Ability to communicate the impact of Salesforce releases and custom deployments to stakeholders
