Responsibilities
Research on designated energy, environmental, and policy topics
Provide concise, accurate, and well-referenced summaries
Create and update company presentation materials and client deliverables
Support research staff in developing and producing research reports and memos
Monitor news sources and social media for developing trends and ideas
General support of research needs, daily operations, and communications tasks as needed
Weekly conference call to update on status of projects, with additional meetings scheduled as necessary

Required
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental studies, engineering, science, energy, policy or another related field
Strong and proven ability to write accurately, professionally, and concisely
Demonstrated attention to detail and reliability of information
Understanding of a wide range of research and evaluation methodologies
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and independently, understand work requirements, meet project milestones, and complete project work on time
Ability to take an ambiguous task, proactively seek information, and ask the questions needed to move the project forward
Ability to think critically and listen effectively
Ability to receive and act upon constructive feedback as part of a collaborative team
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel)
Preferred
Familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting processes and frameworks
Interest and knowledge in environmental justice issues and analysis
Background and knowledge in climate science and public perceptions on climate change
Background and knowledge in regulatory trends affecting the energy industry and investor trends related to oil and gas companies
Upstream and midstream oil and gas infrastructure knowledge
Basic knowledge of data analytics and ability to summarize data efficiently and compellingly
Proficiency in Canva or other graphic design tool
