Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and related software and hardware components.

Perform regular system updates, patches, and software upgrades to ensure system integrity and security.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server and system resources to achieve peak efficiency.

Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and user access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and potential threats.

Develop and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters.

Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, and assist with application deployment and maintenance.

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency across the team.

Ensure systems and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Work closely with other IT team members, developers, and stakeholders on various projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

Provide guidance and training to junior staff and end-users to improve system usage and knowledge.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Windows Administrator or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in Windows server environments.

Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2016/2019.

Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security practices.

Experience with backup and recovery solutions.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and task management.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator - MCSA) are a plus.

Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
