Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day SAP Basis administration support for systems hosted by a third-party, as well as contributing to larger-scale project efforts.
Work with the Integration Architect to design overall system and solution architecture, system integration, and implementation strategy, ensuring an integrated applications environment aligned with business needs.
Assist in analyzing new and existing architectures to meet reliability, security, and compliance standards, enhancing both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Proactively identify and address existing and potential issues in system and solution architecture, implementing solutions that follow and improve upon best practices.
Work closely with the hyperscaler support team to monitor system health and performance, coordinating maintenance, updates, and patches as needed to ensure minimal downtime.
Plan and implement SAP software upgrades, support packages, and kernel patches in collaboration with internal and third-party teams to optimize system functionality and security.
Perform system performance tuning and optimization through regular monitoring and analysis, working with the hyperscaler to adjust resources (CPU, memory, storage) as necessary.
Assist in researching technological advancements and industry trends, applying improvements to ensure solutions remain updated, supported, and aligned with company and industry standards.
Oversee SAP security and access management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and security best practices; regularly review audit logs and adjust controls as needed.
Manage SAP transport requests, ensuring proper version control, change management, and resolution of any transport-related issues in coordination with the hyperscaler.
Collaborate on capacity planning with internal teams and the hyperscaler to forecast future needs and manage system scaling to meet business requirements.
Ensure system support documentation is continuously updated, accurately reflecting any architectural changes, upgrades, or redesigns.
Participate in incident management by troubleshooting issues and collaborating with the hyperscaler for timely resolution, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Maintain a knowledge-sharing approach with IT and business teams, documenting processes and promoting best practices for SAP Basis management.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator, with a focus on managing SAP systems in cloud environments.
At least one full cycle SAP implementation.
Experience with SAP HANA, SAP CAR, and SLT, required.
Hands-on experience working in a third-party-hosted or hyperscaler environment, with strong knowledge of the unique challenges and best practices associated with cloud-based SAP systems.
Preferred
Experience with SAP AFS, SAP Retail or S/4 Fashion preferred.
