Responsibilities
Oversee the fiscal health of the organization;
Develop budgets for board review and approval;
Monitor income & expenses against annual budget;
Oversee the finances of our multi-year capital campaign including donations and restrictions;
Contribute to cash flow management, audit preparation and other ad hoc projects;
Oversee financial resources (checking, savings, etc.) and serve as liaison to external financial agents;
Provide up-to-date financial statements with the assistance of the outside accounting firm;
Ensure financial practices follow state & federal laws including IRS Form 990, annual audits, policies, etc.;
Oversee asset management firm and investment accounts; and
Serve as an active member of the G and A Committee of the Baypath Board (spanning Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and Legal)

Required
Strong Accounting background required
Experience with and/or interest in contributing to and learning about a non-profit mission related to animal welfare
Prior involvement with a capital campaign is a plus
Preferred
CPA license highly preferred
