Responsibilities
As a Sales Manager, you will drive customer engagement, development and monitor all aspects of the sales cycle.
You will have complete end to end customer engagement responsibilities, including and not limiting to identification of leads & opportunities, negotiation of terms and conditions and distribution setup.
Constant communication to the marketing, sales and production team to help assist in all activities.
In your position as Sales Manager, you will be responsible for a Territory which has large established customers along with multiple distributors.
You will have complete responsibility to develop the area and achieve the sales budget.
The position is based out of our headquarters in San Jose working remote and will require travelling within your sales territory.
You will report directly to the Sr. Sales Director.
Searching for new customers who benefit from client products and maximising customer potential in designated regions (territory) based on detailed value proposition and target market information provided by client Marketing in close cooperation with the client sales team and the Sr. Sales Director.
Visiting potential and existing customers and partners
Working with our Technical Manager, Presales for assistance and product education, and after-sales support services to customers, partners, and the sales team
Developing long-term relationships with clients and partners through managing and interpreting their requirements and expectations
Convincing clients that client cameras best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery and win the sale
Supporting and driving distributors in successfully focussing on client product sales
Negotiating contract terms and conditions to meet both client and Jclient needs
Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts
Preparing weekly update reports for Sr. Sales Director
Meeting and exceeding sales targets and coordinating sales projects
Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client’s needs
Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
Following and report about industry trends
Providing input to the specification of new products developments
Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team and other duties as maybe reasonably requested by your line manager from time to time.

Required
Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of being successful
Technical background to understand the great variety of aspects and issues in potential applications
Great presentation abilities in one-to-one as well as in groups
Excellent oral and written communication in English
Academic degree in engineering or alike but skills and experience weigh higher
Proven as a proactive, self-starter with a high drive - Entrepreneurial spirit
Resourceful and capable of learning fast and independently
Structured and systematic approach. Planning and tracking customer activities using CRM tools.
Ability to develop and maintain strong long-term relationships
Excellent management of customers and distributor
Good presentation abilities in one-to-one situations as well as front of larger groups.
Familiar with Microsoft Office tools (Windows OS, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Fluent in English language.

Ready to travel for customer visits, trade shows and meetings primarily in USA.
At least 5-10 years of proven B2B sales experience preferably within the Vision (Imaging)- or related industries

Preferably understand basic image processing
