Electrical Engineer Intern 2025, Battery Algorithm

Responsibilities
Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance our cutting-edge battery management features
Contribute to our world-acclaimed battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy products
Collect and review laboratory and fleet data to support the development and quality assessment of high-quality battery controls and algorithms to ensure safety and performance of vehicle battery packs in real time
Develop/improve advanced robust battery algorithms and models such as state of charge, state of energy, state of health to optimize vehicle performance and customer experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, vehicle integration teams to define requirements and perform integration testing
Support the Battery Software department with additional duties/tasks as needed.

Required
Knowledge of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC
Experience with battery management systems and EV powertrain
Experienced with model-based software design and development tools
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
Field(s) of study: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Will consider undergrads Junior level or above Pursuing Bachelor’s or master's degree
Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
