Responsibilities
Lead the development and maintenance of information architecture for the Autodesk website and related properties.
Conduct advanced user research and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and preferences. Use insights to inform information architecture decisions.
Collaborate with content creators and strategists to ensure content is organized logically and is easily accessible to users.
Design and oversee the implementation of intuitive navigation systems, sitemaps, and taxonomies that enhance user experience and support findability.
Create and review wireframes, prototypes, and flow diagrams to communicate design concepts and information structure to stakeholders.
Mentor and guide UX and Content Designers and Content Strategists, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Work closely with UX designers, developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure cohesive and consistent user experiences.
Produce and review detailed documentation of information architecture, including metadata models, content inventories, and user flow diagrams.
Conduct in-depth audits of existing information systems and recommend strategic improvements to enhance usability and accessibility.

Required
Must have experience in the creation of information architecture artifacts for complete web sites.
Must have design experience so that the candidate can translate the information architecture into design artifacts, specifically around navigation.
Must have clear examples of how the information architecture work that they completed led to improvements in customer behavior.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Information architecture, UX design, or a related role.
Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq), knowledge of HTML/CSS, and familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, User Experience Design, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with information design for enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, and multi-channel experiences.
Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
Experience with Agile software design methods.
Experience with Autodesk or comparable competitive products.
