Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements

Required
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
Experience leading technology projects
Strong hands-on coding experience with Java, Springboot, Microservices APIs etc.
Experience managing technologists
Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Successfully delivered solutions using one of the cloud platforms e.g. AWS/GCP/Azure/ PCF
Integrated with messaging platforms e.g. RabbitMQ/ Kafka/ cloud messaging/ enterprise messaging
Applied distributed caching solutions like Redis, Memcache, etc.
Experience working on API Gateway such as Axway or Apigee
In-depth knowledge of the Retail industry and their IT systems
Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
Preferred
Experience with GraphQL, nice to have
Exposure to Machine Learning and GenAI a plus
