Responsibilities
Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable across entire hotel portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate payments, billing, record-keeping, end-of-month reconciliation and closing of the books
Prepare and analyze financial reports (balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow statements, etc.) to monitor the financial health of the Company and each hotel and provide recommendations to owners and investors
Coordinate and manage outsourced hotel accounting firm and prepare relevant accounting and financial reports for OpCo and PropCo
Create, develop, and maintain standardized budget for Company and individual hotels and create and report on performance data comparisons (budget vs. actual)
Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and highlight areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Work closely with the hotel management teams to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Maintain detailed financial records in finance software and Excel and ensure accurate financial data entry
Utilize Excel and various finance and accounting software for in-depth data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting
Collaborate with the management team to ensure financial processes are efficient and support overall business goals
Create and continually audit all internal financial controls including AR/AP, purchasing, invoicing, disbursements, inventories, staffing/payroll, and employee records
Review, process, and document invoices and prepare payments for owners, investors, and third party vendors
Prepare key financial reports and support in remitting payments to government entities and taxing authorities
Establish, maintain, and update finance and accounting protocols, procedures, and SOPs; establish Company-wide finance controls
Liaise and coordinate with ownership groups and investors to ensure accuracy of financial information, records, and reporting

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or financial management with managing a mid/large portfolio of hotel properties
Strong proficiency in developing financial controls and using accounting and finance software with deep understanding of QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and interpret financial reports, cash flow statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, operating reports, budgets, and KPIs
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work under strict time constraints
Excellent organizational skills and extremely detailed-oriented
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at various levels of the organization
Preferred
Experience in the hotel industry is preferred, but not required
