Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based processes and database solutions on Teradata to support high-performance analytics, business intelligence, and large-scale data warehousing operations.
Build efficient, scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, stored procedures, and views that improve data accessibility and decision-making.
Manage and tune Teradata databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability in large, complex data environments.
Optimize SQL queries and database objects to minimize execution time, reduce resource consumption, and enhance the reusability of queries across various business functions.
Perform regular database performance tuning, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks, inefficient queries, or poorly designed database structures.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, addressing performance or logic issues based on business documentation and requirements.
Review and refactor legacy queries to meet current business needs, ensuring alignment with optimized data models and business logic.
Provide detailed analysis of existing queries to pinpoint inefficiencies and offer solutions for performance enhancement or reengineering, based on business requirements.
