Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy tailored to Market Defense's three primary business areas: External Clients, Internal Teams, and Business Development.
Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure analytics solutions meet diverse stakeholder needs, driving growth and operational efficiency.
Design and maintain scalable, secure data infrastructure using tools such as Snowflake for storage, Alteryx for transformation, and Power BI for visualization.
Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
Provide tailored analytics solutions to external clients, delivering consistent updates on performance trends, competitor analysis, and actionable insights.
Develop customized dashboards for metrics like sales performance, advertising ROI, and inventory management, enabling data-driven marketing strategies.
Partner with internal teams such as Growth Managers, Ad Managers, and Content Teams to drive data-informed initiatives.
Provide tools, reports, and insights for enhanced campaign efficiency, content optimization, and product prioritization.
Support sales and commercial teams with category insights, competitor analysis, and shopper behavior data to attract and retain high-value clients.
Create thought leadership content, leveraging industry trends to amplify Market Defense’s expertise in the beauty e-commerce space.
Lead analytics-based consulting projects, utilizing baseline analytics to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
Conduct SWOT analyses to uncover client strengths and weaknesses, with insights into traffic, conversion rates, and marketing channel performance.
Stay at the forefront of analytics and e-commerce technologies, integrating new tools and methodologies to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.
Evaluate and implement emerging platforms to support Market Defense’s growth in a competitive market.

Required
Proven experience (5+ years) in data analytics, including leadership roles in e-commerce or related industries.
Expertise in building and managing data pipelines, utilizing tools like Snowflake, Alteryx, and Power BI.
Strong knowledge of e-commerce metrics and platforms, including Amazon performance metrics (e.g., TACoS, ROAS, Buy Box %).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies for diverse audiences.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience aligning analytics efforts to business objectives.
Background in delivering client-facing analytics solutions, with a focus on storytelling through data.
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred.
