Responsibilities
Identify target companies within the foodservice industry, focusing on manufacturers of food, beverage, and non-foods for the restaurant industry.
Develop a pipeline of potential sponsors by researching marketplace, competitors, and industry.
Build and manage a prospecting list, prioritizing manufacturers aligned with our events and audience.
Implement a sales strategy to solicit and engage target sponsors, focusing on the unique value propositions of our events.
Create customized sponsorship proposals that align with client goals, offering options that maximize visibility, engagement, and ROI for sponsors.
Manage the full sales cycle: initial outreach, proposal delivery, negotiation, contract finalization, and post-sale relationship management.
Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective and current clients, serving as the main point of contact and advocate.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to foster connections within the foodservice community.
Track and analyze sponsorship sales metrics, reporting on progress, challenges, and results to direct manager and leadership team.
Maintain records of client interactions, proposals, and deals in CRM software (Active Campaign), ensuring accurate forecasting and follow-ups.
Work closely with event planning, marketing, and content teams to ensure that sponsorships are integrated seamlessly into the event experience.
Collaborate with marketing to develop sponsorship materials that effectively communicate the value of our offerings.

Required
Proven track record of B2B sales success, ideally with experience in event sponsorships or foodservice sales.
Familiarity with foodservice industry trends, including key players, channels, and competitive landscape.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to create compelling pitches and presentations.
Strong negotiation skills, with experience in structuring win-win deals.
Experience with CRM tools for sales tracking, pipeline management, and reporting.
Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with executives, marketing, sales and culinary decision-makers, and other key stakeholders.
Flexibility to travel
Requires some weekends, nights, and long days
Preferred
Experience in event sponsorships or foodservice sales.
