Program Manager - DODS (Remote)

Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with LMC and RJI leadership to develop the program scope including business goals, milestones, budget, project plan, communication strategyWork with Knight, RJI and LMC to ensure business objectives, grant goals and milestones are met
Oversee and manage the DODS P&L
Work with LMC and RJI finance team to prepare and manage annual budgets including monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts
Recruit and onboard local media companies to participate in DODS
Work with the LMC partnership team to Identify and negotiate contracts with consultants and technology providers needed to support the program
Work with DODS consultants and technology providers to develop and administer programs and processes for LMC participating members
Monitor participating member’s performance to ensure quantifiable results are delivered
Identify and hire staffing or consulting resources as needed with LMC approval
Work with the LMC team to: Develop, manage and track DODS requests, processes and workflows through the HubSpot project management platform
Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies
Increase member participation and engagement
Manage external public relations
Work with LMC, Knight and RJI teams to help: Build a sustainable shared service program that provides digital content, training and technical services for local media
Build and manage DODS online marketplace site
Ensure grant outcomes and metrics are met including increasing publisher participation, growing website traffic and servicing a broad array of diverse publishers
Prepare and present monthly executive level status reports for the LMC board
Weekly updates for LMC staff and quarterly status reports for LMC members
Execute administrative functions as needed, e.g. scheduling, project management, etc

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, marketing, communication or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates knowledge and understanding of marketing, technology and media industry practices and principles.
7 years of relevant local media and business management experience
Expertise in digital, technology, media, and project management
Must be experienced at building, leading and managing a business unit
Experience navigating relationships between publishers and technology partners
Accomplished executive with superb business acumen
Superior leadership and management expertise
Expert relationship building and networking capabilities
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Aptitude for both creative and analytical thinking
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Proven problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and time management skills
Organizational/project management experience
High technology literacy and ability to evaluate digital platforms and service providers
