Responsibilities
Perform a variety of functions related to the collection, abstraction, and analysis of oncology data to develop and maintain a comprehensive cancer database in accordance with the New York State Cancer Registry, American College of Surgeons: Commission on Cancer and Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital regulations.
Assist in other activities of the cancer program in order to maintain hospital accreditation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.

Required
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) required
Ability to type 35 Net/Adjusted WPM required
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals.
Preferred
3+ Years abstracting experience preferred.
Proficiency in data entry and using various computer software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
