Responsibilities

Maintain and administer Oracle databases, Exadata systems, and MSSQL Server environments.
Provide performance tuning, user and database security administration, and disaster recovery (DR) process optimization.
Support critical applications in TIERS, including AWS cloud migration and infrastructure management.
Provide 24/7 on-call support and perform weekend/holiday maintenance for production and development databases.
Troubleshoot software/database infrastructure and work with vendors for problem resolution.
Support development teams with database refreshes, testing, and building environments.

Required

Oracle database management (Oracle 19c, RAC, Active Data Guard) on Linux.
Developing tools for administering test/development database environments.
Cloud migration and infrastructure setup across datacenters and cloud (preferably AWS).
Exadata database machine administration (configuration, patching).
MSSQL Server and EnterpriseDB PostgreSQL administration.
SQL and PL/SQL scripting and shell scripting expertise.
Disaster recovery setup and execution.
Supporting production and development database systems.
Database refreshes and troubleshooting database software.
Local Candidates: Only candidates residing in Austin, TX, are eligible.
Background Check: Must pass a criminal history investigation (within six months of start date).
Mandatory Agreements: Acceptable Use Agreement, HHSC IT Contractor Integrity Agreement, HHS Cybersecurity Training Acknowledgement.
E-Verify Compliance: Required for the candidate submitted.

Preferred

4+ years experience using tools like Remedy, ITSM, PPM, and ServiceNow.
