Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams focused on product information management (PIM), data integration, and information architecture

Develop and implement engineering strategies that support the company’s product information goals and business objectives

Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the product information roadmap

Oversee the development and maintenance of robust product information systems that ensure data consistency, quality, and accessibility

Implement excellent data governance, metadata, and lineage practices

Lead initiatives to integrate product information across various platforms and ensure seamless data flow between systems

Ensure that product data meets regulatory requirements and industry standards

Build and lead a high-performing engineering team by recruiting, mentoring, and developing talent

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering teams

Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback to team members

Work closely with product management, digital, merch, and data governance teams to understand product data needs and develop engineering solutions that meet those needs

Communicate technical strategies and progress to senior management and stakeholders

Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration

Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to product information management

Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance product information systems

Drive innovation by encouraging the exploration of new ideas and approaches within the team

Ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of product data across all systems

Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices related to product information

Oversee the implementation of data quality and validation processes to maintain high standards of data integrity

Ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet project goals

Optimize resource utilization and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
