Responsibilities
Advise students individually regarding academic core and/or graduation requirements, academic policies and procedures, and available student resources.
Process new student applications through various required workflows, maintain advising records and student evaluation records.
Encourage and support students throughout their time with us and after, should they reach out.
Assist students with identification of long term goals and career plans.
Communicate with potential applicants, applicants, current and former students via phone and email.
Attend various meetings with the Student Success Team and Leadership Team when requested.
Work to position students to meet requirements for graduation within appropriate periods of time while preparing them to meet future goals.
Advise special populations of students within scope of responsibility, such as new or transfer students, minority groups, etc., and focusing on academic direction, procedures, policies, and available resources.
Utilize our information systems to support delivery of advising services.
Serve on appropriate advisory committees when requested.
Must be able to adapt to new technology when required.
Perform related duties as required or deemed necessary to meet goals within the scope of responsibility.
Other various duties as necessary.

Required
At least 1 year of previous experience as a K-12 teacher.
Demonstrated relational skills, technological skills and communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Preferred
Knowledge of K-12 education either as a teacher or working in a company that served the K-12 education industry.
