Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with the Vizient sales team, suppliers, and distributors to drive contract implementations for providers owned and controlled as well as affiliate non-acute sites.
Identify key buyers, decision makers, influencers / stakeholders across a customer organization and develop / nurture strategic account relationships.
Create opportunities (e.g., progress meetings, fact-finding / exploratory meetings) to grow customer accounts and expand business opportunities and relationships.
Gather information about customer business challenges / drivers and leverage internal relationships to identify and align resources to meet customer needs.
Maximize contract utilization for existing customers by identifying areas for improvement and expansion through field and phone-based sales.
Develop and implement sales initiatives within a defined territory.
Conduct business reviews and attend strategic planning meetings with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with supply partners to conduct joint sales calls to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain all sales activity within Salesforce.com.

Required
5 or more years of experience in sales and/or account management role required.
Knowledge of GPO/supply chain, and non-acute pharmacy market.
Must have strong analytical, customer service, presentation, and consultative selling skills and work effectively with C-suites.
Experience with sales pipeline development and management.
Willingness to travel.
Preferred
Relevant degree preferred.
