Required
Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks (about 3 months) starting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, and ending on or around, Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
A field-based, customer-facing position requiring flexibility to travel with a senior Field Service Engineer to service or support customers in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
Work side-by-side with Field Service Engineer mentors at customer sites in an assigned region.
Complete the assigned project before the end of the Summer Intern Program.
Represent the Company in a positive, professional manner in all interactions with Thermo Fisher Scientific employees, customers, and representatives.
Ensure the highest level of customer success with Thermo Fisher Scientific products and services.
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas to obtain practical experience.
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering and returning to school as a rising Senior required.
Applicants must have a satisfactory academic record and be in good standing at their respective college or university. This means that you should have maintained a satisfactory GPA and have met all academic requirements set by your institution.
Knowledge and experience with computer technology including Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), hardware and software applications, etc.
Self-starter with a powerful desire to learn and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
Ability to manage time to both learn and complete project(s).
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Is curious, and innovative with excellent critical thinking skills and can identify specific problems, seek the desired result, and the vital tasks needed for resolution.
Preferred
Chemistry, Science, or a related engineering field is preferred.
Customer Service work experience is a plus.
Engineering, Robotics, and/or IT work experience is a plus.
