Responsibilities

Develop and curate all course content, including weekly PowerPoint slides, detailed assessments, grading rubrics, instructional plan, lesson plans/teaching materials, and activities
Post course materials to the online learning environment and set up tools (e.g., gradebook)
Attend orientation and regular check-in meetings with a Program and Course Development Consultant
Provide regular progress updates and revise course materials based on feedback
Collaborate with appropriate internal departments (e.g. Library, Bookstore, Curriculum Planning & Operations)
Effectively manage a series of online folders and document versions
Produce and submit content and activities according to project timelines (i.e., work is required to be completed iteratively throughout the project and cannot be done all at once within a short timeframe)
Engage in a final review to ensure materials align with School of Business quality standards

Required

Minimum of a four-year degree in Business or a related field of study is required
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is required
Minimum 5+ years of experience in employee benefits and/or retirement planning is required
Experience teaching in a variety of adult education contexts
Demonstrated capability to write and create engaging curriculum
Superior time and project management skills to meet required deadlines
Strong computer skills and demonstrated experience incorporating relevant educational technologies in the field
Excellent communication, interpersonal, intercultural, and collaboration skills
Able to work independently with little direct supervision

Preferred

Knowledge and experience using course/learning management systems (e.g., D2L Brightspace) is an asset
