Responsibilities

Perform in-depth tax research to ensure compliance and optimize strategies.

Prepare and review complex tax returns, including S-Corporations, C-Corporations, high-net-worth individuals, wills, and trusts .

Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate and improve tax efficiency.

Oversee non-income tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and other local and state tax requirements.

Prepare for and lead tax audits, effectively representing the organization and ensuring positive outcomes.

Provide leadership and mentorship to tax staff, ensuring professional growth and development.

Required

Active CPA (CA) license (must have)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance

8+ years of experience at a CPA firm, with demonstrated success in managing staff and overseeing tax functions

Extensive experience in the preparation and review of tax filings for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, high-net-worth individuals, wills, and trusts

Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels
