Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for GMP lab services across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare industries.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted partner to understand their specific needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed territory sales targets, driving revenue growth through cross-selling and new service offerings.
Market Research & Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to tailor business development efforts and propose innovative service solutions.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including scientific, technical, and operational departments, to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client expectations.
Client Presentations: Deliver presentations to prospective clients to showcase GMP Lab capabilities and how PPD can meet their technical and business needs.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with PPD’s business goals.
Networking: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to represent PPD and develop relationships with potential clients.

Required
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or contract research organization (CRO) industries, with a strong focus on GMP lab services.
In-depth understanding of GMP regulations, analytical laboratory services, and the drug development lifecycle.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build long-term client relationships.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred
Established network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical service environment.
