Responsibilities
Drive technical excellence in the design, development, and optimization of our emotion AI models and datasets and SDKs, which are our foundational products.
Stay on the cutting edge of AI technologies and find innovative ways to implement them in our products. Our Emotion AI model (CV) is the fruit of a 800 KEUR research grant with UMONS (Belgium). Our approach is multimodal and we are keen to add LLM / NLP and tone of voice analysis in order to have a more holistic unbiased understanding of human emotions.
Ensure high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code and datasets are delivered, upholding best practices in datascience.
Provide guidance to the AI / ML team, mentor junior engineers, and share your expertise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to bring new features from concept to launch.
Solve complex technical challenges related to mobile AI to provide the best user experience.
Continuously enhance and optimize existing mobile AI features based on user feedback and data.
Stay updated on technology trends and best practices, taking the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.

Required
Proven experience, minimum of 6 years, in software development with a focus on mobile AI and AR technologies in a fast-growing company, preferrably Venture Backed Series A.
Strong knowledge of edge AI, deploying AI models on mobile devices is a plus (iOS and Android).
Expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and AI algorithms with practical application in mobile environments.
Proficiency in Python, TensorFlowLight and other similar leading frameworks and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze and optimize performance.
Passion for delivering AI products that exceed customer expectations, focusing on quality and speed.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, efficiently prioritizing and managing tasks and projects.
An empathetic, collaborative, and adaptable leader fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Global mindset with an understanding of international markets and industry trends.
Willingness to lead with an entrepreneurial spirit, recognizing the demands of the startup environment.

Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
