Responsibilities

(35%) Performs discrete data entry from external clinical documents routed from each practice.

(35%) Accurately enters defined quality data points to the proper discrete field according to the established EMR workflow.

(30%) Electronically enters data points in the patient record with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required.

As required by Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in order to have clinical access in the Electronic Medical Record, must possess one of the following active certification/licensure: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR equivalent Medical Assistant Credential such as (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant CCMA, etc.), Medical First Responder, Emergency Medical Tech Basic/Specialist, or Paramedic though the State of Michigan, Registered Radiologic Technologist through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Working knowledge of PC software to include Microsoft office with aptitude to learn MyMichigan Health programs (Lawson, AllScripts, Misys, and Wellcentive).

Excellent interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and interact with people at all levels to communicate concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must be done annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
