Responsibilities

Audit Execution: Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring all aspects of the balance sheet, income statement, and related reports are thoroughly audited.
Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identify and evaluate internal controls, and set materiality levels for each engagement.
Audit Planning & Procedures: Develop and document detailed audit plans and procedures, including the selection and application of appropriate audit tests (substantive tests, tests of controls, analytical procedures).
Industry Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of various industries, including not-for-profits, financial services, oil & gas, technology, governments, and private equity.
Team Management: Manage and mentor audit team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their needs are met.
Technical Proficiency: Stay abreast of the latest auditing standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements.

Required

5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit.
Proven expertise in audit planning, execution, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage audit teams effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex audit issues.

Preferred

Experience working in diverse industries is a plus.
