Responsibilities
Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation.
Complete the month-end close checklist and conduct the month-end close with minimal supervision.
Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
Manage schedules for monthly loan payments.
Prepare complex journal entries to the general ledger for approval by the Senior Accountant.
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner.
Maintain the general ledger charts of accounts.
Assist with initial internal control evaluations.
Take part in various department-wide initiatives.
Impromptu reporting and special projects when requested.
Take part in the implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.
Adeptness in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks).

Required
BA/BS in Accounting
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
2+ years public accounting experience
Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month-end balance sheet accounts
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment.
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
Possesses a growth mindset and is forward-thinking.
Practice mutual respect in communication and decorum.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Paylocity, and Sage Intacct.
